I go to Beverly Hills a few times a year. Sometimes I go to shop. Other times I go to eat + drink. Occasionally I go to people watch. If I’m going to do all three, I always stop for brunch at Villa Blanca (want proof? check out this post from seven years ago)- a few short steps off of Rodeo Drive and you enter a bright white place to sip, dine, + stare.
The Story Behind Villa Blanca
This restaurant was created by Lisa Vanderpump (of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills + Vanderpump Rules). This woman is far more than a reality star; Vanderpump is a business mogul know for her impeccable style.
When I find something that I love I become a total creature of habit (hence coming to this restaurant for over 7 years). I love the all white decor (so chic + elegant). The menu has something for everyone (vegans and non-vegans alike). The people watching is out of this world.
Feel Free to Stare
I have spotted my fair share of celebrities at Villa Blanca… but that’s not the draw. The fun of the people watching is found in casually observing the ostentatious ways that people spend their money. The cars. The shoes. The out of this world outfits and hair (sometimes inspiring… sometimes horrifying). Tip: Ask for a seat on the patio for the absolute best view of the true stars of the show – the residents + the tourists of BH.
What to Eat at Villa Blanca
A few dishes that I recommend (some of these recommendations have been provided by Kaitland + Colin to assist those of you that are not vegan + gluten free like me):
- Beverly Hills Chopped Salad (ask for it sans chicken, blue cheese, + egg to make it vegan)
- California Nicoise Salad (ask for it sans tuna + egg to make it vegan)
- Villa Blanca Burger (for you carnivores)
- Caprese a la Villa Blanca
- Grilled Chicken BLT with Frites
What to Drink at Villa Blanca
And a final BA Tip: when it comes time to order a cocktail get a pitcher of LVP Sangria. You can pick the red or the rosé – both are equally delicious. A glass or two will provide just the right amount of buzz to get you over the sticker shock of Rodeo Drive.
